Garage Sales

The City of Longview Reminds You..

Yard or garage sales shall be permitted as exempt activities for the Terry/Taylor sale. In order to be exempt under LMC 5.05.040, the sale shall comply with the following:

No such sale event shall commence prior to 8:00 A.M. and such sale events shall not continue beyond 9:00 P.M.
Not more than four residences shall combine merchandise in the conduct of such sales.
No goods or merchandise shall be offered for sale which does not consist of goods or merchandise owned and used by the persons conducting the sales, and of a type customarily and usually found within a residential setting.

It is unlawful for any person to display any signs, advertising structures, goods or merchandise within the public right-of-way.
