Microsoft IT Academy available at Longview Library
If you are interested in improving your computer skills, or learn some in the first place, you now have access to Microsoft’s IT Academy training program through your Longview Public Library. This unprecedented access is available through collaboration between Microsoft, the Washington State Legislature, the Washington State Library, and local libraries.

Microsoft’s IT Academy is a self-paced online training program of 250 free courses on three levels including basic information literacy skills, Microsoft Office skills, and advanced skills for IT professionals. This training can help bridge skills gaps for students and adults, as well as better train individuals to be better prepared to move into 21st Century job opportunities. Participants can earn certification following the completion of a series of courses by testing at certification centers. Certification is at the individual’s expense while the courses available are free.

To access the Microsoft IT Academy, you simply need to have an email address and then contact the library in person at the Information Desk or by phone at 442-5300. The library will then send the individual an email with everything they need to access the Academy.
