Challenge Grant Met for Shay Locomotive Pavilion in One Week!

The City of Longview is thrilled to announce that five separate checks for $1,000 dollars were donated for the Shay Locomotive Pavilion in the last 5 days, exceeding the challenge issued by an anonymous donor for matching donations of $1,000 up to a total of $3,000. The non-profit Friends of Longview (a project of the well-known Longview Public Service Group) also shared that an addition a $3,000 dollar donation was received, and donations of varying amounts from $5 to $100 dollars have been received in support of the community project. 


All contributions to the Shay Locomotive Pavilion are tax deductible. Checks should be made out to the “Friends of Longview” and mailed to:
